Michel Rojkind (Mexico City, 1969) studied Architecture and Urban Planning at the Universidad Iberoamericana. He has been a visiting professor at IACC in Barcelona, as well as at SCI-ARC in Los Angeles, IIT in Chicago, UPenn in Philadelphia, and Harvard in Boston, and a member of the National Academy of Architecture and the National Creators System (FONCA). He has served as a judge in multiple international awards and competitions and has given lectures around the world.
In 2002, he founded Rojkind Arquitectos, a creative studio focused on design, business tactics, and experiential innovation processes based in Mexico City. The studio focuses on the design of urban strategies and architectural solutions, turning contemporary issues into design opportunities.
In 2010, he won “Emerging Voices” organized by the Architectural League of New York, and the Los Angeles Times recognized him as “People to Watch”. Also, Wallpaper magazine named him one of the “150 Movers, Shakers, and Makers That Have Rocked The World in the Last 15 Years”. Forbes magazine recognized him as “one of the most influential architects in the contemporary Mexican scene”. In 2017, The New York Times included him in “A Generation of Architects Making Its Mark at Dizzying Speed”. The magazine 000M included Rojkind in “The World’s Most Inspiring People”, and in 2022, Forbes Mexico included him in their edition “The 100 most creative Mexicans in the world”. In 2023, for the fifth consecutive time, he was recognized by the magazine Líderes Mexicanos in their list “The 300”. Most recently, the joint project The Ledger in Bentonville, Arkansas, is featured in the print magazine “Architectural Record,” highlighting the firm’s first mixed-use construction on American soil.
